Historic Montclair Farmhouse Boho

We were recently enlisted to refresh this grand historic home in Montclair without stripping it of its charm. From the floors to the walls and above we lightened up the interior, popped a livable color palette, reflowed interior spaces in the kitchen and master and renovated the kitchen and master areas. A non-negotiable change was the install of a rustic wide plank French Oak in a chevron in the foyer and throughout the home. Beams were painted white to lighten the ceiling and we opened up the kitchen into a larger family friendly area. The mudroom was incorporated into the kitchen in a functional but aesthetic way and the island doubled in size. Other touches included a splurge worthy artistic tile backsplash, encaustic style foyer tiles, a custom wood reclaimed hood and a bright and cheerful master bath. The master bedroom is a dreamy mix of polite pinks and cream with just enough free spirited boho.
