About Samuel Design Group

Meet Lisa Samuel, ASID, IIDA, NCIDQ, CAPS.  A native-born Santa Feanwith roots in the Spanish and Native American cultures, Lisa Samuel journeyed through a path of rich experiences to the destination of minority business owner, entrepreneur, and principal of her premier interior design firm with five designers and several staff members. Based in Santa Fe, SamuelDesign Group serves clients throughout the Southwest including New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona, as well as California. Through her early studies of architecture and construction, Lisa set a foundation for continuing her love of design and, in particular, interior design. The path of this interior designer’s career has been slow and steady, due to her focus on raising three wonderful and accomplished children.

“I would not change a thing about this journey,” Lisa says.“
I learned so much in the field of civil engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering and the production of construction documents, all of which has given me a definite edge in my career. Acquiring a degree in Interior Design was foundational to Lisa’s career progression. The heart and soul behind Lisa’s interior design work are to inspire beautiful and joyful living for her clients. She believes that the spaces we occupy at work and at home have a profound effect on our lives. Because of the importance of her role in her clients’ lives, Lisa has pursued continuing education and holds several additional credentials. She is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers with NCIDQ certification and a member of the InternationalInterior Design Association. Lisa is also credentialed as a Certified Aging in PlaceSpecialist through the National Association of Home Builders. A great part of Lisa’s joy is mentoring up-and-coming designers in the design business and helping them to be the best they can be. Lisa Samuel has won numerous design awards and most recently was one of four finalists in an International Design Competition in Italy. Designers from New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Santa Fe were the finalists from the UnitedStates.
